Peters, a licensed professional Geologist in Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee. QEPI has received many honors and was the proud recipient of two Growth 100 awards in 1998 and 1999, awarded to Indiana’s top high-growth firms. QEPI received the Senator Richard G. Lugar Community Service Award in 1999 in recognition of volunteer assistance with policy development for the Risk Assessment process with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

QEPI was the Shell Oil Vendor of the Year in 2003, won the Spirit of Award for the Indiana Corporate Challenge in 2003 and was a runner up for the Indiana Blue Chip award in 2004. QEPI won the "People's Choice Award" at the 2008 National Brownfield Association Conference crediting quick turnaround on shovel-ready status for the City of Indianapolis former Ertel Manufacturing property. QEPI has completed 44 Brownfields sites across Indiana and are working with the USEPA on 36 Superfund Technical Assessment Response Team (START) sites.

QEPI was contracted to conduct a Phase II Investigation at the former Flexel Inc. facility in Covington, IN to identify the presence or absence of potential environmental impacts. With QEPI’s assistance, the Covington Community Foundation is attempting to return the Flexel property to productive use as an industrial or technology park.
